Yet headgear aside, this small city in Connecticut is full of distinct heritage and culture – perhaps no where more visibly than through its wide selection of diverse and ethnic restaurants. 1.Barbarie's Black Angus Grill
A strong believer that the reputation of a steakhouse correlates with the quality of beef, Barbarie’s Black Angus Grill dedicates itself to sourcing meat that has been reared humanely and responsibly. The owners cooperate with world famous meat providers to select high-quality beef raised using environmentally responsible practices. Through its efforts, Barbarie’s Black Angus Grill has earned its title as the Greater Danbury Connecticut’s premier steak house.
2. Kibberia
Kibberia is a Middle Eastern restaurant and cafe serving bountiful and savory dishes difficult to find elsewhere in Connecticut. It offers a vast assortment of options ranging from traditional tabouleh and baba ghanouj to innovative choices such as kibbe pocket served with fresh hummus and tabouleh. With a combination of aromatic, flavorful food and fast, accommodating service, the restaurant provides a memorable dining experience.
Ki Asian Bistro and Sushi is a Japanese restaurant featuring dishes such as miso soup, shrimp tempura and sushi. It offers a vast array of sushi ranging from simple avocado or cucumber rolls to more complex varieties, such as yellowtail scallion roll or the kanpyo roll. In addition, lunchtime options include a bento box, consisting of beef, shrimp, chicken or tofu and vegetable teriyaki, and a special section of the menu only offers original recipes by Ki Asian. It is also one of the few restaurants in Danbury that accepts online orders.
4. Pappadella's
Chefs Andres Medina and Luis Alvarez worked for over 25 years at La Fortuna in Bethel, Connecticut, before joining to open a restaurant that well reflected their skills in authentic Northern Italian cooking. The result was Pappadellas, combining Medina’s talent in making handmade pastas and Alvarez’s baking skills.
A unique, upscale casual dining restaurant offering 200+ menu selections including: appetizers, pizza, pasta, seafood, steaks, salads, sandwiches and much more. Also offering world-renowned cheesecakes, with over 50 to choose from.
